If the barcode on the badge for some reason won't scan, the employee is to take the badge to the Pharmacy (after hours). The pharmacist verifies that the badge won't scan and will give the user a "dummy badge" to use until they can get a replacement. Then the pharmacist will call the IT on call person to associate the dummy badge to the user. During business hours, the user will call the IT department to fix the problem. What features does Meditech have to address this issue? We are not e-MAR/BMV yet, but I thought that this was an interesting question. Thanks, Charlie Charles Downs Pharm.D. When we do pharmacist verification of medications that techs fill, we have the ability to use our computer key instead of a bar code on a badge. I am not certain that this would work at you site, just a thought. Are you creating a 2nd barcoded badge and storing them in a secure location? thanks Terry Crissman DPh Director of Pharmacy Duncan Regional Hospital Duncan,OK 73533 [EMAIL PROTECTED] "CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This e-mail and any files transmitted with it are the property of DRH and/or its affiliates, are confidential, and are intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom this e-mail is addressed.
