The first hospital I supported nursing at, I was under the Department of
Nursing instead of IT. Although my relationship with IT was a good one, and
never made to feel like an outsider by the IT staff, there was still that
"disconnection" from not being IT staff.

My personal opinion is that being the Nursing Analyst not being a member of
IT, is counter productive.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Can Clinical Analyst Report to Nursing Dept.?

In a small hospital that only has one Clinical Analyst......could that
Clinical Analyst (that is in charge of the NUR, OE, PCI and NPR modules)
report to the Nursing Department.....or....do they need to be in the IT
Department?

Thanks,
