We have setup our Ophthalmology and Cardiology physician offices with access to booking appointments in CWS. Overall it has been a success. The physician offices are not given the ability to overbook or book unavailable time. All resources had to be setup with appointment profiles for all designated time slots. They were also setup with access to specific resources and appt. types under the access group.
For the most part they utilize the process patients routine. To search for appointments, they use the automatic search or the find earliest time slot feature. Physician's staff are required to sign an external agents confidentiality agreement with the hospital; the Physician must co-sign.
