We are client server but same with us, if Synapse is installed on the pc, and a user looks in EMR at An image , MEDITECH passes a global username and password behind the screens - the users don't see this, To fuji , which shows the image . If Synapse is not installed, Internet Explorer gives an error that It cant view the page . When we started the project, Fuji said installing Synapse on every computer would Not be necessary but it turned out that was not correct. Hope this helps.

Meditech is making a URL call to Fuji with a username and password built into the URL call. The problem is that if a PC is not setup to access Fuji, that is the software is loaded and certain parameters are set, a I.E. error occurs stating that the page is not viewable and the url with the username and password are exposed. This is an obvious security risk and we don't want to implement it this way. Fuji has been unable to stop the display of the I.E. error and I understand this is not unique to Fuji since Meditech uses the same techinique for all PACS integration. Has anyone else encountered this problem and did you fine a solution? Thanks for any help you can provide. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= To subscribe or unsubscribe to the meditech-l, visit MTUsers.NET.
