Marilyn Curttright SwedishAmerican Health System Rockford, IL _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Gary Ring Sent: Friday, April 20, 2007 9:47 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [MEDITECH-L] UB04 Print Problems We are having problems getting all characters to print on the UB04 form. The last character (character 83) on some lines, specifically FL41 (Value Codes/Amount) line and FL65 (Employer Name) line, is truncating the last/right-most character in those fields. We are using an HP 4250n, with and ELF entry in the Electronic Forms Dictionary, to print on cut-sheet pre-printed forms, and the line-up is perfect. So we are fairly sure that these definitions are correct. However, the print is still dropping/truncating the right-most character. And MEDITECH is no help at this stage. Our print settings are as follows: HP 4250n Printer Quality (edge-to-edge) settings: X1 (horizatonal centering) is set to -10 Y (vertical centering) is set to 0 ELF Dictionary settings (which are also MEDITECH's recommendations): CPI: 10.05 Left Margin: 0.20 LPI: 6 Top Margin: 0.095 I have tried probably 50 or 60 different combinations of the the X1/Y and ELF settings to try to get it to print correctly, but these are the only settings that work for alignment purposes on this printer. Yet, using these settings is always dropping right-most character. Is anyone using an HP 4250n with an ELF Dictionary entry to print on pre-printed cut-sheet forms, and are your forms printing correctly? Are there other settings that we are missing that might impact the right margin/truncation issue? If so, could you share your Printer and ELF settings with us? Thank you. Gary J.
