We use Kronos for our timekeeping system. Our employees clock in by phone. We have different levels of restriction set. Some employees can clock in/out on any phone. Some are restricted to certain phones. Some employees can clock in from offsite, etc. We originally purchased the clocking programs from DDI, which has since been purchased by Kronos, who I believe was recently purchased themselves. Kronos has several other ways for the employee to clock in and out. They have badge readers and the employee can also clock from a web browser. There are possibly others that I am not aware of.
We have an NPR report that is processed by Kronos to add and update employees in to the timekeeping system. We also have an "interface" written by Meditech which reads in the worked hour/benefit information into Meditech for payroll processing.
