I have just set up a MIX request in lab module asking that a link
similar to the link between lab and pharmacy be set up with the new RXM
(outpatient prescription) module. It uses the same generic drug
dictionary that is used by the lab to pharmacy link. I would like to be
able to link lab tests to prescriptions so that we can pull that
information onto lab reports. For example, a patient is prescribed
Lipitor and told to have a lipid panel in three months. When the
patient has the tests done, we should be able to footnote "Statin 10 mg
per day prescribed on <date>". Please take a look at my request at
Meditech and if you agree that it is a good idea, please let Meditech
know.
