Posting for one of our pharmacists (that had unsubscribed to the "L" and
now is unable to get re-subscribed-if anyone has any idea how she can
get back on, let us know). Thanks, Joyce.

Subject: Deactivate (Hold) Meds & Omnicell

We are currently not a 24-hr Pharmacy and therefore must deactivate
medications in the future for NPO after midnight orders. Meditech
addresses this by WDA (will deactivate) on the med status and the date
and time is specified during the order entry process. The problem
arises with our Iatrics interface between Meditech and Omnicell.
Unfortunately, these future deactivated medications are removed from the
patient's Omnicell profile

Immediately and are therefore not available for Nursing via med
profiling unless Nursing performs an override.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, what did you do to
solve this problem?
