I am asking this on behalf of our Lab Director:

How are other facilities responding to multiple Lab tests with multiple
critical values for the same patient?

Currently we have a LIS canned text attached to each procedure for
recognition/reporting of critical values...see below

@First Notification:Time:[f now] Date:[f today] By:[f usern]

 @MD/RN Notified:[]

 @Results read back by MD/RN notified: Yes[] No[]

 @Comment:[]

 @Second Notification: Time[] Date:[] By:[]

 @MD/RN Notified:[]

 @Results read back by MD/RN notified: Yes[] No[]

 @Comment:[]

           *****IF PHYSICIAN DID NOT RESPOND*****

          IMPLEMENT MEDICAL STAFF CHAIN OF COMMAND

This method is causing multiple calls to be made to MD/RN and we are
looking for suggestions to handle multiple critical values

on the same patient...

Thanks in advance.

Linda
