We, too, are using Fujitsu 5120C (and the older 4210) for registration, Dan.
Have you tried USB 2.0 in place of SCSI? Back when we first went with scanning
the vendor said not to use USB. However, that was before 2.0 and I was just
curious if 2.0 removes the issues with 1.0 and scanning.

We are using the Fujitsu fi-5120C in Registration, Fujitsu fi-5530C in Patient
Accounts, and Bell & Howell Spectrum XF 8090D in HIM. We use SCSI which adds
about $300 to the cost for a SCSI card and cable.

Thanks,

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Scanning & Archiving scanner hardware

We are looking to implement Scanning and Archiving soon and I was hoping I
could get some recommendations on the actual scanners that other facilities
have been using successfully. Also, if you have any feedback for the server or
anything else I would appreciate it. We are Client Server 5.5 2. Thanks,
