Hi All,
I think I asked this question a few years ago for sites that have Meditech
ORM or Picis OR Manager, but we have a new OR Director and this question is
coming up again.
Who at your site handles in the OR the physician's block time, -- Clinical
Analyst in IS
scheduling dictionaries, -- Clinical Analyst in IS
reporting , -- OR Secretary runs the daily logs, not sure what you are
asking for
completion of cases, -- OR Circulators
verifying supply charges from exception -- Select OR Circulators rotate
this function each day
editing and Preference Cards (creating, editing, maintaining, make sure new
items are adding to inventory)? -- Group of OR Circulators and Scrub
Nurses
Do you have a super user that the OR nurses will go to first before IS and
who works with IS for updates and changes. -- All OR Staff can contact
Clinical Analyst in IS to make dictionary changes.
Do you have one person in this position or more then one person sharing
these responsibilities?
Also, do you have job descriptions for this position in the OR that you are
willing to share?
