Here is what I mean:

Each label fragment has 2 versions - the original and the thermal. The
thermal has the thermal yes footnote and the name changed to add ".th". One
more thing to check - the page setup on page one of the label report is
critical. If the characteristics are not setup just right you get nothing!
There are 3-4 knowlegde base articles explaining the setup. See Article:
15678.

I don't follow you when you say I need two formats in the order type setup.
;-) Here is what I currently got in the setup on page 2 in order type......

There is no need for line checks, and I have all our label formats printing
on Datamax I 4208 printers. I will attach a copy of one of our labels.
Kevin's suggestion to make sure the thermal format is set up on page 2 of
the order type dictionary is a good one. You need two formats of all your
labels - one thermal and one not. The only difference should be the THERMAL
YES footnote.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] {Spam?} Datamax I Class label printer for PHA

I am trying to set up 2 Datamax I class label printers for MED and IV in the
pharmacy. The labels are generated out of npr reports. There is no sign of
life when trying to send a job to any of the printers. I am aware of the
THERMAL YES in the footnote section of the npr. I know the printer is on the
network and working. Sending a Windows testpage to it, and it prints fine.
I am using the paralell port on the printer, hooked up to a printerserver on
the network. OPS printer setup is set to port 9100 and FARGO driver.
I heard somewhere that you have to insert LC commands in the NPR report in
order to get a Datamax to work at all. I don't know if this is the case or
not. Anyone else had this problem?
