Hi Sandy - we use the employee id in payroll which is the same as their user id in MIS with some additional codes before and after for Kronos/Quick Charge (Quick Charge Strips the leading zeros and I believe takes off the facility code number from the badging system (I believe this is the numbers after the id)) We do not currently use badges for Meditech but did verify went live with BMV that it could read the bar code on the badge.
I hope this helps. We are also looking at replacing the current badge system with a system that will allow door access and still work with Quick Charge. What vendor did you use and are you happy with them? Thank you! We recently purchased a"proximity" type system for Employee identification, these badges have an internal code/number that will work with our door access software. The badge system allows us to include one or two barcode identifiers as well. Looking down the road to BMV, Cafeteria charges, etc. What would you think we should use as an employee identifier in the barcode? Employee mnemonic? Employee number? Thank you for any advice you have!
