fragment

He wanted TR behavior (grand totals)
If the primary sort could have more than one value, you won't get grand
totals in the trailer, you'll get subtotals for that sort value.

It is easier to make up a fake sort that absolutely will just have 1
value than to decide that the primary sort (for example @facility) will
only have one value. Just when you finish your 50th report using
@facility in the fragment to do grand totals, your hospital will add a
facility.

Couldn't you just add a trailer to the primary sort and use it instead
of adding a computed sort?

Add a fake computed sort to your NUR fragment

xx.fake.sort
DAT=INT
LEN=1
VAL=1

Make this the primary sort of the fragment, give the sort a TK region
(TK1) and put your totals in that region.

It will work just like a TR because every record will be in the first
(and only) sort group, and it will work in a fragment.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] NPR-fragments question

hi all,

I've written a fragment that takes a list of patient urns as one of it's
selects. The fragment then goes through NUR.PC.WORK and does some
totalling then displays those totals in it's TR region.

When I call the fragment (from ADM) it runs fine, does the totalling,
but the TR region doesn't print.
I read that the TR region won't print when called as a fragment :-(

Is there a way around this w/o having the calling rpt handle the
printing of the totals?

btw, eventually I'll have many different calling reports calling this
one fragment.

TIAA everyone and happy 4th!
