I've not done this, but - were I to do so - I would probably set up an
IF-THEN counter on the detail line. Let's assume the variable you're
printing is called @line and that it sometimes has nothing in it. I'm
not going to assume it's always nil, but rather that it can be "less
than 0". I would then do this:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]'<"0"!('@line$1) 1^CNT^CNT}

Then, with a computed variable with VAL=CNT in a trailer region, you
could report on the number of lines actually filled in with something.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] NPR OE Transcription Reports

I was just asked to rebuild a couple of the standard transcription
reports from OE and RAD so that our transcriptionists would only be able
to view their own statistics. While doing this, I have discovered that
the reports are also counting blank lines for the OE reports. I have
not checked the RAD statistics yet, but I would assume it behaves in the
same way.

Does anyone out there have any NPR reports that count the true number of
lines and characters for transcriptionists' reports from the OE and/or
RAD modules? Preferably reports that behave like the OE Daily
Transcription Statistics and the Reports (by Transcriptionist) reports,
but I will take whatever you can offer me for either of these modules.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
