It's not just FDB. You need to do all of this with Medispan as well.
We were having issues with formulary information not being complete and
it was because it was crashing during the load. After months of back &
forth with MT, they finally had us do points 1 and 2 below and it
resolved the issue in 5.4 but now with the first formulary load in 5.6
it's started all over again.

I look forward to the next few months of fun going back and forth before
they determine what can be done to resolve it this time.

Hi,

I was told by Meditech to do the following. It may also help in your
case. They also loaded the DTS mentioned below.

* Make sure your Workstation Connection is set to the IP Address of the
PHA machine. To find IP Address of PHA machine, go to OPS: 10. Manage
Open Systems 13. Manage IP Addresses - MAGIC Hosts
* Set the Negotiate Remote Read setting in OPS to N for that PC. This
prompt is under System Management: "Enter/Edit TermServers, PCs,
RemoteHosts". Change this before the telnet connection is established so
that the connection will use the new setting.
* Make sure the PC timeout, "sleep", or "hibernate" settings are set to
Never. We have seen instances where the customer's PC goes idle, the PC
stops communicating with the network and the Magic machine, and
eventually times out, causing the load to crash.
* Make sure any firewalls are turned off during the load. After doing
this, the user performing the load should sign out of MEDITECH
completely and sign back in to make sure the new Workstation and Remote
Read settings are in use.
Also, DTS 7622 should be added here. Mike, could you check for any
other DTSs that might prevent a FSV crash? Also, since we can't test
7622 inhouse, could you seek permission for this to go to TEST? Thanks.

Hope this helps,

does anyone else have trouble with all the FDB files not loading? When I
am on my workstation it will load the first file, NDDF, but stop and
never finish loading the rest of the files. If I go another terminal it
does the same thing. I can go to one person's terminal and it loads just
fine! We have not been able to find the difference in his workstation
or his PC. Does anybody else have this problem or any ideas that might
resolve my problem? We are Magic and still using NDDF MR4. Thanks in
advance.

Tara - Check the Spanish monographs - evidently there is a file name but
nothing in them and once we deleted this, we were OK. Let me know if
this works. The other thing that it could be is if in your FSV toolbox
parameters you have the FSV FILE PREFIX: MR5 set to MR4 and you have
version MR5, it will give you this message. It's been a while, but I
know that we had a similar problem and it was one of these. Let me know
if this fixed the problem.
Thanks,
Charlie

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Loading first databank

Hi All,
I am trying to load first databank for the first time in test and I
am getting invalid path when I put in the file path. I have tried
another person's PC, moving the file, typing it in manually, copying the
path from the file properties and we have had DTSs loaded. I have loaded
medispan for several years without a problem. Has anyone else had this
problem? We are Magic 5.4.

Thanks
