I have been asked to post this question the Meditech user group: Our Surgical Services department is in the process of re-writing the job descriptions for both our surgical schedulers and our OR control desk staff. Currently, they share one job description and we have been asked by our personnel department to survey other hospitals to find an industry standard for these positions. Would you mind sharing your position titles for your surgical schedulers, their direct supervisor's position and your OR control desk staff?
