In Meditech, how do you handle a dose that requires a tablet to be split (1/2 tablet, ΒΌ tablet, etc.)? Does nursing split them on the floor or does pharmacy split them prior to dispensing? If pharmacy splits the tablets, is there a drug dictionary entry for each size of tablet? Are the split tablets unit dosed?
