the person watching for moderated questions in a PM is in a singular worse
situation of having to manage every single question and can very easily get
out of date.
having publically posted questions on a side channel is infinately better
and allows all the moderators (and everyone else) to monitor and prioritize
things.

open source shows that many eyes are best.
