I keep asking the original question: do you want to open this door for any MeeGo vendor or not? Having a differential treatment for Nokia doesn't make sense beyond the specific Maemo 5 exception. As a community developer interested in MeeGo-Harmattan you would have three options: - Follow the MeeGo official path for absolute compatibility and wide user base including Intel AppUp and Nokia Ovi Store. - Follow the MeeGo Extras path, that might include Python support and other non-official OSS libraries supported by the community. - Follow the Nokia/Ovi exclusive path, using the Nokia/Ovi exclusive APIs and distribution. If as a developer you don't follow the paths interesting to the MeeGo project, the MeeGo community or Nokia/Ovi then a) What piece of software are you actually developing? Please provide examples. b) do you really need those channels at the level that they should adapt to your specific needs, going against their own principles? I believe the same applies to any other MeeGo vendor. The MeeGo community infrastructure needs to support first the MeeGo project and the MeeGo community. -- Quim _______________________________________________ MeeGo-community mailing list [email protected] http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-community
