Hi,

I was spending my Sunday afternoon 'analyzing' Finnish Local MeeGo Network
activities in Tampere, Helsinki and Oulu just to get an overview how our
community works. The usual/common community metrics (such as MeeGo Community
Metrics [http://wiki.meego.com/Metrics]) are about cyber world activities.
This is great and somewhat useful. Tools to measure real world activities
are missing (or I haven't managed to find those tools). There are lots of
items to measure, but to name a few:
- amount on Local Meego Network Members
- amount of past meetups
- amount of attended people in each meetup.
- planned future meetups

I would find this kind of information useful, since it could indicate what's
going on in physical world activities. IMO that kind of statistics/info is
important since more or less regularly held local meetups are crucial (or
should I say almost unique feature compared to other similar communities
such as Ubuntu) to MeeGo community. I don't have a solution how to
automatically collect the needed information, since local networks use a
wide variety of tools to organize meetups and other activity. It would be
great to get an overview of what's going on in local networks around the
world. Now all information is either spread around google groups,
meetp.compages, linkedIn groups, facebook groups, forum threads, etc
or simply
missing.

Perhaps I'm just day dreaming, but could this be useful or possible?
