How would you suggest that we apply pressure to companies to open their closed components? Here's the current list of bullet points up on the wiki page: 1. The the system doesn't require the use of a non-free component. 2. All core MeeGo components must conform to a license approved by the OSI and Free Software Foundation 3. Separate binary repositories >From what Nokia and Intel employees have said, #1 and #3 are already a part of the current plan. As for #2, I think the MeeGo licensing page has just used the words "open source" and would accept any OSI-approved license, many of which are also considered Free by the FSF.
