I have to say I was misled by title "WayLand: A new X server for Linux" of a Phoronix's article. I see Kristian's response now, it's a display server not a X server.

But it is still in very early stage and things can be changed. Would it be used in Meego to replace Xorg? Wayland is indeed still actively developed - but it's somewhat early in its development. While it's on our radar for the future, for now we go with a somewhat more traditional, X server based environment (although our X server is of course not running as superuser anymore - so it's not THAT "traditional"). /D -- Dirk Hohndel Intel Open Source Technology Center _______________________________________________ MeeGo-dev mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-dev
