No - they would choose between using QT licenced under LGPL v2.1 or paying a commercial licence fee. Both of these licences allow you to write software depending on the library without publishing the source code under the GPL. If you redistribute QT, then you should ensure that you do not redistribute it under the GPL, or your users will be able to ask you to publish the source code. I don't know what you would get extra with the commercial licence, or what you would lose when choosing LGPL v2.1, which might help you make up your mind, though. In brief: dual/triple licenced projects mean that the user/consumer gets to choose which terms he wants from a range of choices offered by the supplier/distributor. > From the FAQ page, I learned QT libraries are different for GPL or > Commercial license. As you say, this was the case for some parts, the ActiveX control in the Windows port of Qt is one example.
