Probably better to test it locally before submitting, hence my
quseston. Even though I must admit that would encourage open
development by it being co-developed with the people receiving the
bugs ;)

Right, my point being however that it is not entirely clear how this
is supposed to be done properly by looking at the spec.in and the
scripts.

It is easy to butcher the spec a bit to make it build, but it would be
good to be able to do 'by the book' the first time, hence my question
about documentation. In order to limit work on both sides of a bug
report with a patch attached :)

Having it clearly documented also encourages hardware ports of MeeGo,
in my opinion ('So you'd like to get MeeGo onto your development
board..' type of guide)
