As some of the people on the list already know, there is a QA procedure for community apps on Maemo with quite a history now, and which is still being tweaked to find that ever-elusive thin line between not stepping on developer toes and bringing some sort of basic QA assurance to the end users. I hope to see the lessons and experiences of that process brought over to MeeGo. With MeeGo, I think the task is significantly more difficult, however, as we have more platforms, potentially more devices, more OS versions, etc, to the point that I actually doubt we can apply the human testing as used on Maemo (which even there proved to be a bottleneck). Automation can and should be employed, but that will largely be limited to packaging related things. In any case, I very much would like to hear suggestions on this, what do you think applies from the Maemo/Moblin QA ancestry, and what doesn't.
