I feel Dawn and Ibrahim have spent plenty of time on this and they
should be the ones deciding how to proceed.

That is the easy part. File a bug at bugs.maemo.org and CC me as soon as
it is clear what is the license you want. I wonder though how relevant
is the Maemo 5 documentation in the MeeGo context, but we can discuss
this elsewhere - in the bug report?
