People think eMMC or even SSD with SATA (for netbook) is the future of
on-device storage. As Arjan pointed out previously, they all falls into
block devices category and block FS (btrfs, e.g.) applies.

However, I have same feeling that raw NAND flash will be primary storage for
a lot of mobile devices in the near future because of slow MMC interface and
cost.
