hope that is ok.thought I had better give something back.meego was very good 
but I will have to come back in a few weeks to it to experiment a little more

got open office,skype and a few other things working too which I can blog/write 
about as a newbie trying to cope if that is any use for others

The one thing that I could not sot was the old moblin issues with Instant 
messenger and aol/icq 

I will come back soon to meego I promise but need to have more reliability for 
a few weeks as I am out and about
