Hi!
I installed meego on an external SD, shutdown the n900, launched the
flasher to one-shot load the meego kernel, connected the USB and meego
booted. The problem is that the LCD backlight is off and playing with
xterm it is quite impossible.

I tryed to use flasher during a reboot cycle to have the backlight on,
but in that case I see the "penguin" and after a bit the system reboot
again.

Tryied to modify boot args to see what happens with:

sudo flasher-3.5 -k
meego-n900-open-armv7l-1.0.0.20100525.1-vmlinuz-2.6.33.3-11.2-n900 -l
--boot="init=/sbin/preinit rootwait root=/dev/mmcblk0p1 console=tty0
nosplash omapfb:vram=0:2M,1:2M,2:2M rw rootfstype=ext3"

As the backlight was on I may read on the fb that the kernel is
waiting for the root device forever and reboot after quite time (I
guess due to watchdog timeout).

Another issue is that if I use "halt" instead of "reboot" have to
remove the battery to get the device booting again.

Wiki docs are under construction, some hints, at least a way to turn
on the display backlight?

Regards

     Niko
