Hey guys,
Just an FYI, but this is just a troll-attempt by the BoycottNovell trolls:

"<oiaohm> Posted question to meego developers over mono. schestowitz"
Probably explains the other Mono hostility that suddenly appeared on the
list yesterday as well.
Whilst not a rabid anti-Mono person I think events of the last few years show
that complacency over this kind of issue would be classed in a similar manner as
not performing due-dilligence in a traditional corporate environment.
Of course people who've been burnt over poor due-diligence do tend to
overcompensate.
And people who may be exposed by due-diligence do tend to try and downplay the
need for it.
I think some people, who may have been immersed in these issues and seen the
same questions again and again, may assume that others have the same depth of
knowledge; they don't.
I personally don't appear to use Mono and frankly have little interest in it -
but I am concerned about attacks on linux distros impacting the commercial
viability. If I were a new MeeGo partner I would be *most* interested in any
potential legal exposure; and as a contributor I notice a distinct lack of
response to the questions raised.
I would rather not have seen an @intel response that only commented on Fedora
policy and an @novell response calling what seems like a reasonable question a
troll. (not, I hope, influenced by the insane rants in other threads).
I don't know if you've noticed but there are PR issues that, like it or not, we
have to deal with.
Maybe the most professional solution would be to continue to provide polite and
reasonable responses to polite and reasonable questions? However tedious that
may feel.
