I have Ubuntu 10.04, AMD Athlon X2 QL-60, integrated ATI radeon HD 3200,
compiz running (desktop effects enabled).
I followed instructions from:
http://wiki.meego.com/Getting_started_with_the_MeeGo_SDK_for_Linux
Now the wiki says "Note: Currently, the simulator runs only on host
systems with an Intel integrated graphics controller. It does not run
with ATI or NVIDIA graphics controllers." But at least for me it works o.0
The wiki page has slight modifications (at least xhost part) since
Monday but I think that it still should work..

I could not get xephr to come up, would just get a black screen with errors
related to the X server. I am using 32 bit kubuntu 10.4 with a AMD graphics
card.

I installed Meego SDK successfully on my AMD based laptop and at least the UI
was running fine in xephyr, very slow though. Can you confirm this if you try,
