Greets:

Have the netbook version installed and its sweet. Next i want to start
adding some applications so I need to build these on meego from
source.

However meego does not come with a basic or standard linux development
environment pre-installed or available at present. So was wondering
what is recommended to do a simple make and make install. Secondly,
the docs point to SUSE build service on line which is not a bad way to
go. So to sum it up, two questions:

 1. what are the components needed to install a basic build
environment for linux on meego (does it need to be from source or can
rpms from other distro's suffice...if so which ones) A summary or
howto would be nice. I could write one with guidance and input.

2. Is the preference to use SUSE's on line build service or do it
natively. Speed is really not a factor at this end but may be for
others.
