Here's how the update went for me (on Toshiba NB205 netbook)

1. First trip to "System Tools" > "Update System" said the only update available
was for the package manager. I clicked to install it and it told me
that some other
packages were needed. The window to confirm/cancel was a bit too tall for the
netbook screen and I could only see the top edge of the two buttons. I guessed
the right-most one was the "okay" button (correctly). Then I got a
pop-up telling
me that I'd need to log out & log in again for the update to take effect.

How *do* you log out of Meego?

2. As soon as these first updates completed (without me figuring out how to
log out) I got another pop up telling me there were more updates available.
Clicking on this one began the core update (or maybe I went back to "System
Tools" > "Update System" - I forget the exact sequence).

3. Things seemed to download ok and install. But the display window wasn't
very helpful at letting me know how things were progressing. The "Installing"
progress bar went very quickly to the half-way point, and then stuck there for
several minutes. Clearly stuff was still installing as different icons would
appear in the "Status" column of the software update window, and the
scroll bar jumped around randomly as different items were shown. The top
of the window told me "There are 5 updates available" - even though there
were clearly far more than five items listed.

4. After a few minutes at half-way the progress bar leaped all the way to the
right, and a pop-up window told me that the update had completed successfully.

I used a shell window to run "sudo reboot" as it seemed like it might be a good
idea as it looked like some of the fixed features must have involved a kernel
update - but the updater didn't suggest that I needed to do this.
