Hi Samuel

Dear Raymond,

How about MeeGo Tablet? This kind of usage combines the handset input without
real
keyboard and needs the virtual intelligent input methods.

Since it's MTF and Qt based, do you have emerging plan to be with KDE Plasma?

Thanks and regards,
Samuel

You mean MTF Input Method Framework on Tablet?

Well, For MTF IMF, I only have a client module written to make it work with GTK
app as well. And MTF IMF itself is developed by Mohammad, Pekka Vuorela and a
lot of other engineers from Nokia. I don't know whether they have the plan, but
I doubt it ;)

Raymond

There's nothing that ties the MeeGo Touch IM fundamentally to handsets. On a tablet type of device you have pretty much the exact same challenges and solutions that are already taken into account in the MTF IM.

I see the effort necessary to target a new device category such as tablets, as requiring primarily a new design for the UI part of the input method plugins in order to take advantage of the additional space available.

Regards,
Tomas
