The current support for multitouch on X inside Qt is preliminary, prior to the 
XInput 2.1 multitouch draft approval. This will change now that the draft 
exists.

When we wrote multitouch support 18 months ago, there was no X.org protocol to 
depend on, hence the reading off /dev/input and/or dealing with non-standard 
X.org drivers.
