Thank you all. The compiling works with arm and with gst-fluendo-mp3 you get the following to run: gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:/home/meego/01_-_Better_People.mp3

It was Axel looking for a codec, and not having binaries packaged for ARM does not mean you can't compile it for ARM :p See this very package in Debian for instance: http://packages.debian.org/sid/gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3 -- Damien
