Hi Sonali,

I'm not sure whether all of your questions fit in meego-dev, but I'll reply
anyway to the best of my knowledge.

Like any other Open Source software, by striving to be secure. Security
does not have to be obscurity. The belief that FOSS are inherently
less-secure because the source is open is hence a fallacy, a somewhat
popular one. I'm not going to elaborate on this. If you continue your
research you'll get to see that FOSS have the potential to be as secure
as any software can be, and have proved the claim by being just that.

You'll need to hear from someone more technically aware than me to get
the exact list of processors supported. Here's what I can tell.

As you know MeeGo has different UXs (User Experiences) built on the
MeeGo Core. These different UXs are aimed for different operating
environments. Three of these are either having a public release already
or available as a preview.

MeeGo Netbook UX 1.0 release supports Intel Atom platform. Although
not directly mentioned in the official release notes, we know that the
Netbook UX works perfectly on more CPUs, namely Intel Core 2 Duo
among others.

As for other processors and platforms we know that ARM support is
there. I was able to find these following platforms directly from the
MeeGo website: Intel Russellville eMenlow systems, Intel Crown Bay
Tunnel Creek systems [IVI] and Aava Mobile Intel Moorestown platform
EV2, Aava Mobile Intel Moorestown platform DV1 [Handset UX].

You'll have better luck finding about supported hardware by going
through the already posted threads in MeeGo Forum site.[1]

According to Quim[2]:
"'MeeGo' has no semantic meaning and no etymological references."

In other words MeeGo isn't an abbreviation or something with a
special meaning. But that hasn't stopped the members of the MeeGo
community from providing colourful explanations. :)
