If I understood the problem statement correctly then answer is Qt source
code, it would be nice to have a proper list of needed extensions and
how they map to Qt internal functionality. Ideally Qt should not depend
on the extensions but in practice at least some of the 'most popular'
extensions tend to exist in drivers and one can safely depend on them.
How about having this list in wiki somewhere?
