Intel/Nokia disable debug in the build. I built a slightly older
version on the maemo OBS:
http://download.obs.maemo.org/home:/arfoll/MeeGo_current/i586/
I did this as a hack quickly, I'll rebuild it properly using a link
when I get the chance.

Hi,
Noted the same while working with head-versions from
gitorious.meego.com. They are using --disable-gst-debug among many other
disable this and that. It drops out the debugging subsystem and though
no runtime option to dump out the debug stuff from plugins either.
If this is necessary, I propose to provide fully enabled package as an
option (or as dependency of the devel package) .
