One lingering question I have from the Sensor Framework MeeGoCon presentation is about the possible use of the microphone as a sensor. The use of an ambient light sensor to adjust screen brightness is often mentioned, but I've never heard anyone mention the related idea of adjusting audio volume based on ambient noise. I particularly like the idea for the IVI environment. I suppose that there could be privacy concerns with turning the microphone on at random times, but if it's just for a millisecond, the potential for snooping on the user is minimal.
