Not all systems are equal. And building an image for a different plattform isn't just changing two lines in the kickstart and be done. Building a beagleboard image e.g. requires to build a very special/odd sd card image with a very special vfat boot partition ... As we speak people are working on patches for mic to do that. In order to have auto generated beagle images, these patches have to be finihsed and included into the official mic.
I on the other hand can just run a few shell scripts here and there (and yes, i'll document that in the wiki) to build an image that runs on the beagle.
