It successfully builds binary package, but at the final stage it starts
RPMLINT report that fails with:
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory:
'/tmp/rpmlint.cpio-2.11-2.6.src.rpm.xWnjow/cpio.spec'
Is this something important or can be ignored?

It seems new changes have been pushed for 'build' in the repo that might
fix this issue.
Though the issue seems to be that liblua is missing from the build
configs.
Just add 'liblua' in the Preinstall section in the build config file you
are using, for example:
/usr/lib/build/configs/default.conf
