Hi,

I am using a moorstown HW and picked up the handset mtf 1.1 image. Since my device's physical size and resolution is different(than the default handset image's), I have edited /etc/meegotouch/devices.conf for the resolution and PPI values.

this is absolutely the wrong place to do this!

X has the DPI setting from the graphics driver, and the X values are used in many places, including font things.... not just the meegotouch piece. If you only change the meegotouch piece, then you have various pieces of the system with different DPI settings... and fonts will look shitty, etc etc etc. Just one disaster after another.

If you must override the DPI that X has because your graphics driver is buggy, you can do this in the uxlaunch configuration files. Do it there, and the whole graphical session will have one, consistent value for this.
