Of course it is true that, given different capabilities and restrictions, you end up with different solutions. And providing the toolsets to make these solutions is what, for example, Qt-Nokia is working on now. I think though that it is false in the sense that the toolsets *have* to be different. And taking a longer look, I think the restriction to use only one or two fingers to operated a device will turn out to be temporary. People of limited dexterity use both hands and both feet to operate pathetically simple technological devices like bicycles, and acheive an information flow bandwith vastly superior to touch screens.
