Some dbus policy problems last week that are now solved. More closed packages needed to get GPS running ssc-daemon. Maybe location-proxy as well. Trying to get location-daemon up and running. We have 3 failing packages in hardfp (devel:hardfp:prep:Trunk:Testing) and 2 in softfp, so it looks pretty good. Waiting for OBS scheduler patch to be enabled on meego.com. There was a bit of confusion regarding N900 being able to handle thumb and we've proven that even though it's Cortex r1p3, it does not handle thumb instructions very well. (Stskeeps, 08:02:13) 3. have submitted a bugfix for Qt regarding NEON guarding of instructions. We have a hardfp handset image made that's pretty nice and responsive, but there seems to be something slowing it down underlaying. (Stskeeps, 08:02:19) 4. Directions: Look into integrating Xorg patches that disable cursor drawing when actually told to, patch to evdev xorg driver regarding button emulation causing responsiveness issue (time from touch to it reaches app) (Stskeeps, 08:02:23) 5. I've looked a bit at DVFS patches from the ubuntu beagleboard kernel and tested them, didn't seem to burn out my N900. Cpufreq patches seem to exist in Angstrom but I guess that's jhnikula's area (Stskeeps, 08:02:27) 6. Outside work, I'll be presenting on Sunday in embedded devroom on FOSDEM conference on "MeeGo: A solid platform for hackable mobile devices" in order to increase community interest in MeeGo porting (Stskeeps, 08:02:32) 7. Patches for thumb architectures (armv7tnhl and armv7thl) for libzypp, rpm and libsatsolver are submitted. (Sage, 08:03:42) 8. WLAN and Bluetooth MAC address fixes with the binary blobs are now also in daily testing images. (Sage, 08:03:45) 9. There is however bug 12672 that causes problems with bluetooth and wifi usage.
