Hi Mark,

I have MeeGo netbook installed and it has kernel 2.6.35.3.
I need to make the kernel a real-time one and I need to apply rt patch.
However, I do not see the equivalent version patch here:

I've heard that Thomax Gleixner (the current PREEMPT_RT
maintainer) is "working on it," but to date it does not
exist.
However, why do you need an RT-patch? Most RT-applications
(e.g. audio) will do just fine with a kernel compiled
PREEMPT with the deadline scheduler.[1] ...and many will do
fine by simply changing the CPU governor from 'ondemand' to
'performance.'
Should I grab the source and patch and downgrade my
kernel? Or can use the patch for a previous version of
kernel and apply to 2.6.35.3?
If you're a user: Yes, that will probably work. However,
you may run in to misc. issues. (E.g. most of today's
touchscreen drivers are not in a 2.6.33 kernel.)
If you're an ODM: No, you can't. The MeeGo compliance spec
requires >= 2.6.35.[2]
