Hi all,

On MeeGo 'xdpyinfo | grep dim' gives as output 1024x600 pixels and 214 mm x
127 mm. On Ubuntu we get 1024x600 pixels and 270 mm x 158 mm.

Due to this many windows overshoot the screen in MeeGo running on
netbooks. Is there a way to change screen geometry size in MeeGo?

We have been trying to change screen geometry using Xorg. 'xorg.conf' has an
entry 'DisplaySize' in 'Monitor' section where screen size can be set. But
whenever the system is run with 'xorg.conf' the keyboard and mouse freeze.
Tried changing the device names and drivers but to no effect. Why is there
no xorg.conf by default in '/etc/X11' ? Is there any other way to set proper
screen size?

Regards,

Saurabh
