The patterns.xml in
repo.meego.com/MeeGo/release/1.1/ivi/repos/ia32/packages/repodata is wrong. It
specifies a required rpm named "hfpdialer" (not a typo) for "IVI Support"
As you said, the hfpdialer should be hfdialer.

So I believe the lower version of MIC2(0.21.1) did not exit when it found some
package missing, but the newer version does.

I'll file a bug for the IVI 1.1 repo patterns.xml

Cheers.

building meego 1.1 ivi image

Hi Long,

In case you haven't looked at it yet, the latest ivi-ia32.ks is here, in case
you may find it useful:

http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/builds/trunk/latest/images/meego-ivi-ia32/meego-ivi-ia32-1.1.90.5.20110301.7.ks

According to the error message you included, it looks like maybe a typo is at
fault. The hands-free dialer package is "hfdialer". You might try explicitly
adding hfdialer to your kickstart and see if that fixes the issue for you.

Tracy

Subject: [MeeGo-dev] mic-image-creator 0.24 can't find pakcage when building
meego 1.1 ivi image

Hi,
         I tried mic-image-creator 0.24.4 and 0.24.5 to generate meego 1.1 ivi
image on both MeeGo 1.1 IVI and fedora 14.
Kickerstart file is the official one at
http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/releases/1.1/ivi/images/meego-ivi-ia32-noemgd/meego-ivi-ia32-noemgd-1.1.ks

Command line was mic-image-creator --config=meego-ivi-ia32-noemgd.ks,
--run-mode=-1, --format=livecd, --fstype=vfat, --release=1.1 --package=none
--overlay-size-mb=64

In all above cases, it failed and throw an error "Failed to find
package 'hfpdialer' : No package(s) available to install

I can build the image successfully with the
mic2-0.21.1-1.2.noarch.rpm<http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/releases/1.1/core/repos/ia32/packages/noarch/mic2-0.21.1-1.2.noarch.rpm>
installed by default in MeeGo 1.1 IVI. But the mic-image-writer is unusable
since there is no Hal dbus service.
Any hints? Did I miss anyting?

         Thanks.

         Cheers.
         Long
