Conny,
On the back of your device there is a support URL. At that URL there
are detailed instructions of what to do if there is a hardware issue. I
have sent an email with this information to the address specified and am
waiting to hear back.
Thanks,
Andrew

ExoPC confirmed that there is no BIOS update that would help with this
problem and the only thing to do would be get the hardware replaced.
I would think the proper way to do this for developer units would be
through Intel, so I will try to find the right person to contact.
Perhaps the person that responded to the bug Erik posted.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Cornelius --
this seems to be a hardware issue, I've got my ExoPC exchanged in San Francisco
thanks to the very kind people from Intel.

Betreff: Re: [MeeGo-dev] Fan control on ExoPC
Hi Andrew,
the symptoms you describe are exactly the ones I have.
- Red LED
- Fan starts as soon as powered on
I took the ExoPC of a friend and can't reproduce the fan-problem there.
I've compared BIOS-Versions and they are the same on both ExoPCs.
As reference both are:
Core Version: 4.6.4.0
Bios Version: Lucid-CE-0133
EC Version: 000918
On the back both have the same Model No.
EXOPG06411
Anyways, this seems not to be software related so let's hope there will
be a different way to fix it. If you hear anything, please let me know.
Cheers,
Conny

I have read there is an update available from exopc, and I am waiting
to heart back from them.
Another way you can tell if this its your problem is if the orange LED
is lit while booted. This is disabled in a later update.
When I hear back from exopc I will update you (if this is your
problem).
